This is a stunning fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic gold threads. The background colours are pink and mauve/grey and has a flicker of metallic gold throughout. The traditional designs are colourful and outlined in a rich metallic gold. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of aubergine coloured silk. The reverse is cream silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
