This is a stunning fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic gold and silver threads. The background colours are pink and violet and has a flicker of metallic silver throughout. The traditional fan designs are very pretty and richly woven. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of pink coloured silk. The reverse is cream silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
