Lovely silk obi with fans, flowers and maple leaves woven with metallic and silk threads on a woven gold and black background. Some of the fans have a rich metallic gold couching and some of the motifs are couched in silver. This obi does not have a core which makes it less stiff and easier to remove fold lines which can be steamed or ironed. Great obi for hanging, drape across a bed or to dress up a table. Traditionally 70% of one side is patterned and the reverse side is patterned gold silk. The reverse side of this obi is a metallic gold coloured silk with a subtle woven design in shades of gold.
