This is a striking fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic threads. The medallions are woven in silk threads on a metallic gold background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of white silk. The reverse is also white silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
