This is a stunning fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic gold threads. The background colour is a little lighter than indicated in the photos and has a flicker of metallic gold throughout. The butterfly designs are colourful. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of the same blue silk. The reverse is a dark green silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
