This is an extraordinary piece of vintage Japanese hand embroidery. It is worked on a beautiful quality bright red shu silk and appears to be dated from the 1930-40's. It depicts Jurojin, one of the seven lucky Gods. It is a large piece and in excellent condition. It is of museum quality. It would be wonderful displayed and, although there is not a sleeve for a rod or ties, either of these could be easily added. Email me for more photos if you are interested.
