Sample bolts were a pre-curser to fabric sample books in Japan. They were produced by fabric manufacturers for shop keepers and kimono makers to show their customers to make fabric selection an easier process. This vintage sample bolt is made of quality synthetic fabric. They are sewn together rather than being one continuous piece. Each of the 33 designs, measuring 14 x 12 inches, are different. It also comes with a header. The bolt is 396 inches in length. This bolt has many patchwork and quilting opportunities, would be lovely to display and would also be great for home/fashion projects.
