This is a lovely fukuro obi woven with colourful silk threads. The traditional design is woven in silk and metallic threads on a silver silk background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of silver silk. The reverse is orange silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
