This is a beautiful fukuro obi woven with colourful silk threads. The traditional crane design is woven in silk and metallic threads on a shiny, metallic green silk background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of green silk. The reverse is cream silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
