This silver and gold silk fukuro obi is woven with silk and metallic threads. The Japanese traditional designs are woven in silk threads on a silver and gold background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of a mottled gold and silver silk. The reverse is also a silver and gold silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
