This is a colourful fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic threads. The traditional butterfly motif is woven on a black silk background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of black silk. The reverse is a plain black silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
