This vintage silk obi has a dyed design, rather than woven. The silk is soft and luxurious. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of green silk as seen in the last image. The reverse is also a green silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
