This is a silk sample bolt with 12 silk samples, all different to each other. Each piece measures 15 x 14 inches. These bolts were used in the first half of the 20th century by kimono fabric merchants to allow customers to choose and order their fabrics. This unique bolt has clear colours and is in excellent condition.
