This is a large bag of fine silk threads. They are surplus threads from the Nishijin Textile Factory in Kyoto and were intended for the weaving of obi. They are hanks of fine thtreads that have become partially unravelled. They are too fine for machine sewing, but could be usued for fine hand embroidery, included in knitting or crocheting, creative projects etc.
