This is a beautiful vintage silk obi with a cream and mottled metallic silver background. It features finely woven fans in silk threads. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of cream silk as seen in the last image. The reverse is also a cream silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.

Excellent (very clean but with a fold line along the centre of some of the unpatterned area. there are also a few folds horizontally which could easily be ironed out. the hand a small length of stitching near these folds also needs to be reinforced, a small job for a sewist )
